We all deserve kindness, freedom of choice, space to be our true selves, and most importantly LOVE!
And there would be no pride month without the brave people at Stonewall Inn in the summer of 1969, and the riots that followed a police raid on the gay nightclub.
Thank you to all the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, and the queer individuals who stood in their truth, and in doing so gave permission for us all to love, open and freely.
This week especially let's remember the black and brown leaders of the Stonewall Riots, like Marsha P. Johnson, a self identifying drag queen who remained an outspoken activist for gay liberation and AIDS activist her entire life.
In light of remembering these heres we also want to acknowledge some organizations that are continuing work to help black LGBTQ+ individuals.
